The Objective of 40 hour hazwoper training is to familiarize the prospective hazardous materials worker to the OSHA 1910.120 guidelines for conducting operations within a hazardous environment.

 

The Student will be familiarized with:

 

            Medical requirements and tracking

            Labeling

            Placarding

            Hazard Classes

            Donning and Doffing level A protective ensembles

            Decontamination of site and/or personnel

            Chemical exposure

            Oxygen deficiency

            Explosion and Fire

            Biologic Hazards

            Safety Hazards

            Electrical Hazards

            Heat Stress

            Cold Stress

            Noise

            Site Organizations

            Air Monitoring

            Personnel Protective Equipment

            Site Control    

            Handling Drums and other containers

            Site emergencies

 

This class should enable the student to conduct offensive actions in a hazardous environment safely and with confidence, consistent with OSHA 1910.120 policies and guidelines have been incorporated into AFOSH guidelines as well

 

Rates:  $400.00 per/student minimum 8 students

            $125.00 per/student minimum 6 students refresher course
